China's OCTG export prices continue sliding

Tradable export prices for Chinese seamless oil country tubular goods (OCTG) continued their downward track in December. Demand slowed ahead of the year-end holidays and offer prices dropped in tandem with falling round billet prices. On December 30, Platts assessed R3-length API J/K55 casing with buttress thread coupling and sizes of 177.8x8.05mm (7 inch, 23 lb/ft) from Chinese mills and finishing lines at $450-500/metric ton FOB Tianjin port, down about $20/mt from a month before.
