You are holding the first issue of this ACS journal to be printed in a "rotated and condensed"landscape print format that enables two pages of editorial content to be displayed on one printed page. Movement to condensed print is a key component of the changes to the production and dissemination of our print journals that ACS is taking as we work in concert with our authors, readers, members and institutional customers to focus on our digital future and the online journal as the version of record. By focusing on the electronic medium in all its manifestations-web, desktop, mobile-we will reap the collective benefits to be realized by truly networked and accessible scientific information.
