摘要

Based on the condition of solution electroneutrality, the theory of potentiometric determination of the acid number (AN) with the use of a single-component ionic or uncharged reagent without titration is being substantially advanced. The generalized pH (potential of the indicator glass electrode) vs. AN dependences are obtained. They take into account the overall completeness of all analytical reactions and the effect of reagent hydrolysis and also allow the linear region in the pH vs. logAN dependence with the slope equal to -1 to be found. The use of the generalized theory of potentiometric determination of AN in the viticulture products is illustrated.
