摘要

Catalytic ozonation of formaldehyde and salicylic acid,which are contaminants present in effluents from pharmaceutical and chemical industries has been studied.The effect of catalysts MnO2 and MoO3 on the effectiveness of catalytic ozonation was estimated by the degree of conversion a,% and COD reduction of model aqueous solutions of the contaminants.It was found that the effectiveness of the process strongly depended on pH of the medium and the nature of the catalysts and organic molecules.The efficiency of catalytic ozonation was compared with that of ozonation alone under the same experimental conditions.
