The kinetics of oxidative decarboxylation of several amino acids (AA) (glycine, leucine, serine, thronine, asparaging, glutamine and glutamic acid) by positive chlorine has been studied in aqueous sulphuric acid over a wide [H_2SO_4] range (0.0005 to 0.20 mol dm~(-3)).
