OSHA alters jurisdiction of two State Plans

Washington - Federal OSHA has reclaimed jurisdiction for safety and health inspections regarding certain aspects of Hawaii's and Michigan's State Plans.Both Hawaii and Michigan run their own occupational safety and health programs similar to federal OSHA, known as HIOSH and MIOSHA, respectively. Most private-sector employers and many public-sector workers (not including federal workers) fall under the jurisdiction of these states, although some exceptions exist.
