Canada bans pesticides from fertiliser mixes

Federal agency Health Canada announced in mid-February 2010 that all "weed-and-feed" herbicide and fertiliser mixes will be phased out, effective December 2012. Prior to the decision, Canada's Pest Management Regulatory Agency issued a report stating that fertiliser-pesticide combination products do not support the goals of best practices for pest management in turf.
