Prior notification of a concentration (Case M.8170 - ChemChina/Adarma) -candidate case for simplified procedure

On 7 September 2016, the Commission received notification of a proposed concentration pursuant to Article 4 of Council Regulation (EC) No 139/2004 by which the undertaking China National Agrochemical Corporation (China) controlled by China National Chemical Corporation (China) acquires within the meaning of Article 3(1)(b) of the Merger Regulation sole control of the whole of the undertaking Adama Agricultural Solutions Ltd (Israel) by way of purchase of shares. The business activities of the undertakings concerned are: CNAC: active in the agrochemical sector. It manufactures and sells off-patent active ingredients and formulated products used for crop protection products; and Adama: manufactures and sells off-patent active ingredients and formulated products used for crop protection products, seed treatment, and lawn and garden products.
