Safety survey response database can measure program perception

Employees having the ability to protect themselves and their co-workers through their actions on the job is the highest-rated component among 50 standard items in the National Safety Council's Safety Barometer employee perception survey.This is according to an analysis of responses from 228 participating user organizations or locations during a 10-year period from 1994 to 2004.This component generated a mean score of 1.24,with scores on the survey components ranging on a scale from-2 (strongly negative response)to +2 (strongly positive response).
