June is National Safety Month.The theme of this year's campaign is "Safety,where we live,work and play." Here at the National Safety Council,we are focusing the nation's attention on the risks of injury that surround us every day,everywhere we go.For more than 90 years,the National Safety Council has led the nation in safety information and injury prevention education.Our Congressional Charter,issued in 1953,obligates the council "to arouse the nation ...in safety and accident prevention ...and enlist cooperation between all persons and organizations in the pursuit of improved safety and health."
