Codex panel approves interim MRLs (maximum residue limits) for new safer pesticides

In late April 2005,interim maximum residue levels (MRLs) for bifenazate,fludi-oxonil and trifloxystrobin were approved by the Codex Committee on Pesticide Residues.The interim MRL system has been introduced to allow growers and exporters in the US to use new safer pesticides on crops that are destined for countries that rely on standards set by the Codex Committee.
