Syngenta International 3Q 2011 sales up 21% at $2.7 billion

Syngenta International AG's total sales rose to $2663 M in 3Q 2011 from $2199 M in 3Q 2010. Volume expanded by 13%, representing the sixth consecutive quarter of double digit growth, and prices rose 3%. Syngenta's total sales also rose to $10,365M in the first nine months of 2011 from $8939 M in the first nine months of 2010. Seeds sales in the low season included normalised end-of-season rebates which compared with a positive adjustmentin the third quarter of 2010. In Pacific Asia, where sales increased by 13%, robust growth in crop protection more than offset higher seeds returns in South East Asia.
