ChemChina out to conquer international market

During its 12 years in existence, China national Chemical Corporation (ChemChina) has continued to expand on the international market. In 2006, the Chinese chemicals giant ($45 billion sales in 2015) carried out a series of major acquisitions. In Europe it acquired Adisseo and Rhodia Global Silicone in France, Pirelli in Italy and Elkem in Norway. Elsewhere, it acquired Makhteshim Agan in Israel and Quenos Holding in Australia. As a result, 33%+ of ChemChina's employees now work outside of China (52,000 out of a total of 140,000).
