摘要

Cellulose, a natural, biocompatible polymer, gets new, interesting properties by functionalization. A major contribution to the cellulose research was the discovery of a variety of new solvents for homogeneous reactions, evidencing some major advantages, such as: control of the desired degree of substitution, uniform distribution of substituents along the polymer chain, high yield, negligible side-reactions. The cellulose, chemically modified by phosphorylation, is expected to be biocompatible and able to promote bone regeneration. The experiments presented in the present paper are focused on cellulose modified with phosphorous acid, in a lithium chloride/dimethylacetamide system. The phosphorylated celluloses were evaluated by FTIR analysis, potentiometric titration and thermogravimetric analysis.
