摘要

A novel series of twelve coordination compounds of thorium(IV)with 4[N-(4'-nitrobenzalidene)amino]antipyrine semicarbazone (4'-NO_2BAAPS)and 4[N-(3,4,5-trimethoxybenzalidene)amino]antipyrine semicarbazone (TMBAAPS)with the general composition ThX_32L (X=Cl~-,Br~-,I~-,NCS~- or ClO_4~-;L=4'-NO_2BAAPS or TMBAAPS)and Th(NO_3)_4.L have been synthesized innon-aqueous media dn characterized on the basis of elemental analysis,electrical conductivity,molecular weight and infrared spetral stdies.In all the coordiantion compounds,these ligands act as neutral tridentate (N,N,O)compounds.The probable coordination number of Th(IV)varies from 6,8,10 and 11 depending on the nature of anionic ligands.Thermal properties of these compounds were also discussed.
