摘要

The viscosity and thermal behaviour of several water soluble polysaccharides of actual and potential biomedical uses, such as hydroxypropylcellulose, dextran and pullulan (currently employed in other fields such as chemical and food industries) have been studied. The viscosity study in aqueous solution evidened conformational modifications and changes in polysaccharide-water interactions depending on the molecular weight and structure of polysaccharides. The water desorption and thermoxidative decomposition have been also examined.
