Studies on management practices for raising dapog nursery in rice

A field experiment was conducted for raising dapog nursery in rice with three substrata (perforated polythene sheet, plain polythene sheet and gunny bit) and four media (clay + cattle dung slurry, composted coir pith, raw coir pith and straw bit). The results showed that clay + cattle dung slurry or composted coir pith were suitable media for raising dapog nursery and recorded higher yields. None of the treatments in the substrata influenced the seedling growth and grain yield.
