Forty fungal species were isolated from decompsing rice stubbles. Aspergillus flavus, A. niger Fenicillium citrinwn Cmyulana lunata Trichoderma harzianum, Fusarium semitectum and Alternaria alternata were preponderant and present almost throughout thedecomposition process while common fungi species like Humicola grisea, P. rubrum, Aspergillus luchuensis, dark mycelium were more frequent and abundant. The species of Duteromyceteswere regnant while species of Mastigomycetes, Zygomycetes, Ascomycetes Mycelia Sterilia were msignificant.
