Induced additive and dominance gene effects were studied in EMS (0.8% 1.0% and 1.2%) treated and gamma-rays (25 kR, 30 kR and 35 kR) irradiated populations of local scented rice cultivar T-23. In the EMS treatments, significant positive additive and dominance effects along with over dominance were observed for grain yield plant~(-1) in 1.0% dose, panicle length in 7.2% dose and number of grains panicle~(-1) in all the treatments. In gamma-rays treatments, similar gene effects were observed for panicle length, number of grains panicle~(-1) and plant height under 35 kR and also for grain yield plant~(-1) under all the treated doses of gamma-rays.
