Performance of indigenous rice cultivars under water logged condition of Sundarban

摘要

Fortysix indigenous rice cultivars were tested for their tolerance to water logging between 30 and 70 cm water depth in terms of yield and yield attributing characters. The cultivars, NC 492, SR 26-B, Palui, Lilabati, Ikorasali and Laudubi performedrelatively better under high water pressure and produced reasonable yield as compared to others and hence, had better potentiality under water logged situation of the coastal saline zone of West Bengal during the main rice growing wet season.
