摘要

The inhibition of seedling growth by NaCl was reversed by the exogenous application of putrescine. NaCl and putrescine induced activity of succinate dehydrogenase (SDH) and glucose 6 phosphate dehydrogenase (G6PDH) was localized in the aleurone cellsof germinated rice seeds by cytochemical methods and light microscopy. The SDH activity was found to be reduced in the aleurone tissue of the seeds germinated for 120h in presence of NaCl. Putrescine treatment, which stimulated the germination of rice seeds, increased the activity of SDH and G6PDH in untreated and NaCl treated seeds.
