Fungitoxicity of Curcuma longa L. extracts against rice sheath blight fungus: Rhizoctonia solani

摘要

The in vitro antifungal activity of aqueous, ethanolic and ether extracts of rhizome powder along with leaf and rhizome oil of Curcuma longa L. was studied against Rhizoctonia solani causing sheath blight in rice. The leaf oil exhibited maximum inhibition, follbwed by. ethanolic extract of rhizome powder. The leaf oil showed fungicidal nature of toxicity and tifie results were comparable with standard fungicides.
