Two years ago, Niki Leondakis and her husband renovated their home in Sonoma, California. For inspiration, they turned to a hotel. Fifty of them, actually. Leondakis is president and chief operating officer of Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants, a collection of boutique hotels across the country. But it wasn't design ideas they were cribbing. It was ecofriendly ones.
