Correlation Anomalies of the Atomic Form Factor in the X-ray Region of Elastic Scattering

The role of electron correlations in the ground state of the Ne atom in the determination of the absolute values and shape of its form factor is studied. It is found that the correlation effects change the Hartree-Fock values of the atomic form factor within the range from -0.15 to +0.15%.
