The effect of unmatched parametric processes in the interaction of two orthogonally polarized waves with equal frequencies in a nonlinear medium upon the efficiency of suppression of quantum fluctuations in Stokes parameters of the light field is studied. It is shown that parametric interactions cause a correlation or anticorrelation of photons in different waves and a change in photon statistics.
