Multiple low-contrast fingerprint detections by using compression-based joint wavelet-transform correlator

摘要

A new method for improving the multiple low-contrast fingerprint detections using a compression-based joint wavelet-transform correlator (CBJWTC) is proposed. The simulation results show that besides having high ability to discriminate multiple low-contrast fingerprints by using smaller file size for the compressed reference, the proposed method can minimize false alarm problem and dependency on the compression.
