Mido puts on a brave face: OW correspondent reports from Milan

Number 43 in the yearly Mido optical trade fair series took place at the giant Rho showground in Milan, Italy, over the long weekend of March 2,3 and 4. It was held in the wake of Italian national elections which left a popular comedian and his protest movement holding the balance of power, while the erstwhile Prime Minister, an austerity-advocating technocrat, polled just 10 per cent of votes. The uncertainty of this result promptly plunged a just-recovering Eurozone back into crisis.
