摘要

Laser operation is observed from 544 to 1338 nm on 29 vibrational transitions of I-2. In the visible spectrum, pump power thresholds of less than 50 mW are observed. The large number of hyperfine transitions in I-2 results in highly anisotropic amplification in both the inversion and Raman gain contributions. [References: 15]
