The coherent population trapping and four-wave mixing in Λ-type system employing a two-photon field

In this paper, we explore the interaction between four-wave mixing and quantum interference in a Λ-type system employing a two-photon field. The three fields interaction including coherent radiation has given rise to asymmetric coherent population trapping (CPT) profile and gain without inversion. The effect on CPT has been demonstrated by dressed state theory in detail.
