摘要

The synchronization dynamics of chaotic erbium doped fiber ring lasers is investigated through numerical simulation. Different coupling strengths between the transmitter chaos and the receiver chaos correspond to different evolution pictures. Consequently, we show that, in the absence of noise, weak coupling helps the synchronization between these two chaoses. However, in the presence of laser noise in the transmitter and receiver, strong coupling reduces synchronization error and bit error rates in a communication system.
