Diterpene Lactone from the Heartwood of Daniella Oliveri

A diterpene lactone has been isolated from the methanolic extract of the wounded wood of Daniella oliveri. Lactone has been named danielectone and is most probably a biotransformation product of the main compounds known, i.e. ozoic and daniellic acids.
