BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVE: Retinopathy of prematurity (ROP) and familial exudative vitreoretinopathy (FEVR) are classified as distinct diseases; however, emerging genetic research and fluorescein angiographic evidence suggest a margin of overlap between the two.
