We read with interest "Radiographic Analysis of Extra-ocular Muscle Volumetric Changes in Thyroid-Related Or-bitopathy Following Orbital Decompression" by Hu et al.in the 2010 January/February issue, wherein they conclude that there is a significant increase in medial rectus (MR) muscle volume postoperatively in orbits undergoing decompression for thyroid-related orbitopathy (TRO) despite lacking clinical evidence of disease activation. The authors acknowledge in their concluding remarks that their retrospective review may have selection bias, as not all patients undergo po'stoperative CT scans following decompression.
