We appreciate the report by Aakalu et al. regarding the adjunct of intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIG) to surgical debridement in the treatment of necrotizing fasciitis (NF) of the eyelids, and we would like to add some useful information regarding the management of the patient affected by this type of infectious disease.
