Hydrostatic drives are considered to be standard equipment in a whole line of mobile machinery units such as building and road construction plant and also in agricultural and forestry machines. wherever there ist a requirement for optimised conversion of power into the requisite traction force and the appropriate velocity the gear transmissions must either be stepless or have a high number of gear ratios.
