Increasing concern over greenhouse gas emissions and their effect on climate change is one reason Prime Minister Stephen Harper pledged 150 million to the Alberta government last March towards building a CO2 pipeline network in the province.Another reason is that it makes good business sense.Burying CO2,rather than releasing it into the atmosphere,promises the double benefit of increasing oil production from depleted oilfields while,at the same time,keeping literally tons of CO2 out of the atmosphere.
