In June 1989,I met Murray Todd-at the time,chairman of the Petroleum Industry Training Service-at the Weyburn Oil Show,and informed him that I had decided to accept his offer to become president of PITS.He immediately handed me a copy of the report by the Upstream Petroleum Industry Task Force on Safety (UPITFOS) and suggested I get familiar with its contents.
