For Ian Freeland,project co-ordinator for Devon Canada Corporation's Beaufort Sea exploration program,the day this winter that the 80,000-ton steel drilling caisson(SDC)spuds the Paktoa C-60 well will mark the end of Stage 1 of a massive logistical effort to bring exploration drilling back to the Beaufort Sea after a 15-year absence.
