Ariadne's Thread-Case Studies in the Therapeutic Relationship (2005), book of case studies is primarily for professions interested in psychotherapy or counseling and those who want to understand how a therapeutic relationship is developed or maintained over a period of time. The author uses the title of the book to set the context for the case studies. In a mythological setting, Adriane's silver thread provided a guide for Theseus as he entered (and exited) the labyrinth to slay the Minotaur. As each client enters his or her own labyrinth during the course of therapy, the silver thread represents the relationship that develops with the therapist who "guides" the process.
