Detailed Seafloor Chronology in the Warton Basin (Chrons C19n-C34n.1n)

Ridentification of the paleomagnetic anomalies in the Warton Basin of the Indian Ocean allowed us to present a new chart of chrons. Its analysis shows thawt the Mesozoic rearrangement of the spreading systems took place 84.5-88 My BP. About 62-66 My BP, the subsequent spreading reached maximum rates up to 15 cm/y and then stopped 41.1-42.3 My BP. Before 57 My BP, the spreading was more intense on the southern flank of the ridge than on the northern flank, while, later, accretion on the northern flank prevailed.
