P2 Energy Solutions (formerly Petroleum Place) has acquired production management and hydrocarbon accounting software boutique Merrick Systems. HitecVision (for Merrick) and Advent International (for P2) backed the deal whose financial terms were not disclosed. IHS has acquired PacWest Consulting Partners, a provider of market intelligence to the unconventional oil and gas industry, bringing PacWest's iQ' products (PumpinglQ, WelllQ, and ProppantlQ) into the IHS fold.
