Kongsberg Maritime is to provide Pacific Drilling with a new information management system (IMS), a component of the automation system to be deployed on its dynamically-positioned drillship, Pacific Santa Ana. The IMS consolidates the rig's control system data into a single, role-based secure web-portal. The IMS is said to enhance information sharing and offer real-time insights into operations for both offshore and onshore teams.
