Evaluating Field Management Practices for Controlling Rhizoctonia in Columbia Basin Onions

Rhizoctonia seedling blight is causing stunted patches H Hin bulb onion crops grown in the Columbia Basin of central Washington and north-central Oregon. The impact can be seen in various patches showing up in onion fields throughout the region. Yield reductions in some fields are obvious with roots severely damaged, stunting onion plants that typically do not catch up in growth to healthy plants for the rest of the season.
