Linn Makes Another Permian Basin Acquisition

Linn Energy announced a further expansion into the Permian Basin on Tuesday, as it an- nounced the signing of three definitive pur- chase agreements worth a combined $352.2 million for properties in the Wolfberry trend. Though Linn entered the West Texas oil play just over a year ago, the company is quickly becoming an active player there and now considers the region its second largest operating area (OD Aug.7’09,p7).
