"I Luoghi del vivere" - The places for living: this was the theme around which the creativity of the young participants revolved in the International Competition entitled "L'arte nel decoro il decoro nell'arte" - Artistic decoration, the art of decorating. This competition was held for the sixth year running and was organised in the suggestive halls of the Castle of Spezzano and in the context of the events of the cultural season of Fiorano. There were about one thousand students in all who, coming from 11 countries and 50 different schools, this year entered about 1400 works, presenting just as many innovative and original proposals, from which it is possible to predict the ceramic related trends of the upcoming years. To judge, not only from the type of works presented, but also from the votes given by the 33 members of the jury, the places for living of the near future will still see the tile playing a major role, even if in a more lively revitalised and obvious part.
