Athabasca Buys Oil Sands Firm

Athabasca Oil Sands said it has agreed to buy Excelsior Energy for C$144 million ($140 million) on a fully diluted basis. Both companies have an interest in the Hangingstone oil sands property about 17 miles south of Fort McMurray, Alberta.
