Plains Sees Rising Output from Haynesville Shale, Flatrock Field

Plains Exploration & Production said its output from the burgeoning Haynesville Shale gas play rose 71% between the second and third quarters of this year. The firm's net production from the Texas and Louisiana gas play averaged 48 million cubic feet of gas equivalent per day in the period, and is expected to exceed 70 MM-cfe/d by the end of the year. Plains said production volumes should reach 125 MMcfe/d by year-end 2010.
