Infrastructure Expands as Marcellus Grows

Processing and transportation infra- structure is expanding to keep pace with high levels of drilling and increasing pro- duction in the emerging Marcellus Shale gas play in Appalachia. Exploration and production companies have converged on the rapidly developing play and the core area of the Marcellus now accounts for 9% of total US drilling activity, according to a recent First Energy Capital report.
