The verdict in the second criminal trial of former Russian oil tycoon Mikhail Khodorkovsky and his business partner Platon Lebedev was postponed Wednesday, and has been rescheduled for Dec. 27. No reason was given for the postponement, leaving the media circus that had descended on the Moscow courtroom where the sentence was due to be read somewhat perplexed. And Khodorkovsky may wait even longer to learn his fate, according to Lebedev's lawyer Konstantin Rivkin. "Even if the verdict announcement will start on Dec. 27, the judge will fail to announce the resolutive part until after the New Year holidays," Rivkin was quoted as saying in the Russian media.
