NLC Optimistic Of Increase in Power Generation and Lignite Mining by the End of 12th Plan

BSurender Mohan, Chairman and Managing Director Neyveli Lignite Corporation (NLC), said 22nd May, that power generation and lignite mining capacity would increase before March 2017, the end of the current 12th Five Year Plan. He said that after completing ongoing 7 projects of 500 MW thermal expansion unit 11, 1,000 MW Tuticorin project, renewable energy projects like solar 10 MW project and wind farm project of 50 MW, power generating capacity will be increase from 2,740 MW to 4,240 MW.
